. GCSE Art & Design offers students the opportunity to extend their formal art education at North Axholme.
The GCSE Art & Design (Unendorsed) course provides students with the opportunity of exploring traditional working methods (such as painting, drawing, etc.) as well as new media (e.g. digital photography).
KS4 work KS4 work . GCSE projects are supported by Enrichment visits and workshops which gives students the opportunity the experience of seeing works of art at first hand, and working with professional artists.
Enrichment visits have included: A visit to Oxford to gather primary source research for a Gargoyle Project, a visit to the National Mining Museum which was the starting point for a design project, and a sculpture workshop led by artists Alex Hallowes and Pete Rogers.
KS4 work KS4 work . At the end of every academic year students celebrate their achievements in Art & Design by exhibiting their work in the North Axholme School Art Exhibition.
KS4 work . The art room is open to all students wishing to extend their interest in the visual arts during lunchtime and after school.
