North Axholme is a small, 11-16 school with specialist status in the Media Arts. Our specialist school subjects are English, ICT and Art and Design.

We are situated in the small town of Crowle, part of the Isle of Axholme, in the unitary authority of North Lincolnshire. This is a very pleasant, rural area that that is proving increasingly popular for families to move to. We have around 440 young people aged 11-16 who come to us mainly from five partner primary schools though we do attract students from outside the immediate area. We employ more than 60 colleagues as teachers, student support and administrative staff. Many live in the area we serve so we really are at the centre of our community.

North Axholme is a school that is noted for its’ caring ethos and high standards. Our specialism in the Media Arts enables us to provide exciting learning opportunities using state of the art equipment in digital media. You can find more information in the Media Arts section of the website.

We are a Creative Partnerships Change School, one of a select few schools chosen to receive additional funding to promote creative learning opportunities that really engage students and provide them with the stimulus to do really well. We are forward thinking and outward looking. Our vision is to provide an environment where we meet the needs of every child and our students are inspired and motivated to learn so that they reach excellence in their achievements. We put our young people first.

We work hard with all members of our community, students, parents, community groups, the local authority and many outside agencies. We seek out the best in teaching and learning and tailor it for our own students. We have made enormous progress over the past four years. Progress in measures such as 5A* - C at GCSE has been remarkable. Our attendance is very high, exclusions low and virtually all our students leave us at 16 to go on to further education, employment or training.We are not complacent and are ready to tackle the challenges that emerge for all schools from time to time.
