The department runs a group called ‘Volunteers for Spain.’ The students have written and researched three booklets on topics related to the Spanish Civil War. These are:
The Ebro 1938
Volunteers for Spain: The British and the Spanish Civil War
The Battle of Jarama 1937.
The booklets look at the specific events and how they still have an impact today. Copies of these booklets have been requested by the University libraries of Albacete, New York Rio de Janeiro and the Marx’s Memorial Library, London.
